"When the sun comes up, run like an animal.

The Kenya Wildlife Marathon and Half - October 3rd, 2015 – Run with us in paradise. Set in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, and encompassing 280,000 acres of grasslands, rocky hills and riverbeds, the Kenya Wildlife Marathon is a runner’s dream.

The natural beauty of Kenya is a pristine location to add to your running adventures around the globe. The proceeds from the Kenya Wildlife Marathon, Half-Marathon and middle-distance run will be donated, in full, to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world.

Today, with ivory worth more than the price of gold, young elephants often loose their families due to poaching. Visit Understanding the Orphan’s Project and discover what happens to an orphan after it’s placed into the Trust.

As race director, leading travel expert and accomplished ultra-runner, Sue Rudolph, was able to meld her passion for running with her love of helping these animals. The Kenya Wildlife Marathon was created, allowing other committed runners to race in fascinating new locations, while supporting a worthy cause.

When you participate and/or support the Kenya Wildlife Marathon you will experience a race in a wild paradise and help ensure the wildlife are able to enjoy long and happy lives."

Thank You!
